Read MoreChiropractic is a profession, not a technique. It has evolved over the last 400 years based on the relationship of the nervous system to the entire body. It primarily involves manipulation of the spine but can also involve manipulation of the limbs, strengthening and stretching rehabilitation, laser therapy, remedial massage and tailor-made exercise plans.
Most animals show no signs of pain or discomfort during therapy, as the treatment works within the joint/ligament/muscles normal range. This makes Chiropractic care a very safe and natural form of treatment.
Yes! It is very important that anyone working with your animal has your vet’s permission before your initial consultation. Usually a quick phone call will suffice. This also means that you should be able to claim for your treatment sessions via your pet insurance policy.
Why are we so popular? Chiropractic is very natural form of therapy for animals. They love coming in to see Emma and are noticeably happier and more mobile after treatment. Clients often report that their animals are more supple, have increased energy and often become a version of their younger selves again. Dr Emerson states "It's an absolute privilege to work with such a large variety of animals from working dogs to competition horses and 4-legged family friends. I’ve been working with animals for 10 years now and no two days are the same.""

Book in Your Large AnimalAnimals with any chiropractic-based problems can present with a variety of symptoms, some common ones are:
I contacted Emma firstly to help me with my back and neck which she treated very successfully as I train and ride horses for a living I have had many falls over the years but Emma has always help put me back together. I have also had Emma work on some horse's I have had in for training with great success. To allow these horses to reach their full potential they need to be pain free and have full movement I would recommend emma to any of my clients and so would my horses.
My cat Capella loves visiting Emma, she has a very gentle approach which Capella and appreciates she didn't like the vet, but I think she knows the chiropractic treatment is helpful. Some cats are very nervous, but I would recommend giving it a try if your cat is lethargic or not their usual self. It's a good alternative to pain medications, or when standard vet treatment reaches a block, and take a bag of their favourite treats along too.
